Mr. Hancock is an original founder and Chairman of the board of Atlas Brown, having helped launch the firm in 2004. Mr. Hancock’s career in the investment industry has spanned over 30 years beginning with his first job in the financial sector in 1976 at Merrill Lynch in Louisville, before moving to Citizens Fidelity Bank. Beginning in 1981 he spent 10 years at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) and Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) as a floor trader and market-maker specializing in complex options trading and hedging strategies on predominantly large-cap domestic equities and US Treasury Securities. Following his tenure in Chicago, he returned to Louisville where spent the next 14 years as a Vice President at Hilliard Lyons focusing on equity investment research and sales with a focus on mid-cap and large-cap domestic companies. He graduated in 1976 from Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH with a BA in Business Administration. Currently, Mr. Hancock serves on the boards of the Filson Historical Society, Dreams with Wings, and The Second Presbyterian Weekday School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Louisville.
